How is CoVid19 affecting Mack Music Studio?

Dear Mack Music students and families,

Amidst concerns and societal changes due to the CoVid19 virus, I wanted to share an update about how this will affect our studio. The studio will be open for weekly lessons at the normal times. The piano, keyboard, and common surfaces will be diligently cleaned, and students will be asked to wash their hands before playing the piano in lesson. ALL LESSONS WILL BE ONLINE FOR NOW. The state has mandated that all non-essential businesses close their doors for the time being.

I have never given online lessons before, so bear with me as we learn about this new format together! Because of the nature of these lessons, we will need to schedule them to allow for more time in between than normal for set-up.

Our event with Animal Friends, Paws and Listen, has been postponed. I will be back in touch as soon as we are able to pick a new date for this event. The formal recital may also be affected. At this time, our formal recital may be a video recital (something that I’m looking forward to trying out!) I will keep everyone posted on the status of upcoming events.

The policy for missed lessons due to illness will also be altered temporarily. If a student misses a lesson due to illness (or illness of a family member), the lesson may be made up, no matter how many lessons are missed. The policy that states one lesson may be made up per semester will not be currently in effect.

I am so grateful to know you all; your health and safety are very important to me. Thank you for your flexibility in this crazy time. Please let me know if you have any questions or concerns.

Thank you for your support of music education,

Tricia Mack
